Persona non-grata

He was a king in in own right;
 He was condemned and sentenced to die yet he judged no one.
 He was spat at and ridiculed yet he insulted no one.
He was a persona non –grata, so that you and I can be accepted.
 What do I have that I can offer him? He offered his life for me.
 He gave up his throne, so he can wash away my sins.
He gave up his crown so I can be called child of the most high.
 The blameless Lamb of God was slain more than two thousand years ago to pardon and sanctify me.
When he died, he made a statement that in life and in death he was a victor.
 He shook heaven and earth;
 And he terrified the world of darkness.
The enclosure of was done away with;
The blanket of sorrow was shifted;
The burden of sickness was alleviated;
And the weight of sin was lifted.
All this on the Good Friday when he gave up the spirit and challenged the kingdom of darkness;
Lo and behold, he rose on the third day.
 The grave and the deep darkness could not hold him.
  He triumphed and conquered the world.
The savior King.
