How Fast You go

During my days as an avid gamer, i learnt a thing or two from my fave game. i was crazy about Need for Speed. I looked forward to it when i was at school and classes were boring. I looked forward to it when I finished working. I was exhilarated by the milestones to be achieved, the bounty  to be collected and the reputation to be built and maintained in order to get to race a blacklist individual. After an unfortunate turn of events, i lost my career in the game and had to start over quite a few times. It was frustrating when i could not qualify for some individuals easily and others were a piece of cake. So i took a few days off and started to think. Coincidentally, my life in general was a bit of a huddle. I could not do what i used to do effortlessly. I felt like i was swamped and stuck in a dark cave without a streak of light.
I analysed my opponents and the game in general and applied the logic to life. In need for speed, you do not climb up the ladder without sweat. Sometimes it in easy, but many times, it is not easy. So is it in life. I learnt that you are only as fast as your slowest car. It does not matter in you have fast cars that you can't handle or control, you are still gonna lose. The secret is to know you opponent's weak spots, learn your ride and how to be in control and win. It is pointless really to have speed without direction. You will eventually crash into walls.
So, this thing of as fast as your slowest car, is like the rate limiting reaction, which determines how fast the overall reaction takes place. If you identify your limitations, you will learn to manipulate them to your advantage. Most importantly, be your own competitor and not your neighbour. In the present age, you have no idea what they had to sacrifice to get where they are, but you know just how much and what you have to sacrifice to get there and where you are to be.

Remind yourself always that you are who God says you are. You will be who he says you to be and you will go where he says to go.

Cheers.

P.S. i am on my way back.
