Oh, hello there.
It is so quiet here. Anyways, I just want to go on about things I picked up in 2018.
1. If you are worried about something, you don't trust God with that something.
2. Fear of the unknown will always be there, but feel the fear and do it anyway.
3. Keep your heart open. Be kind to everyone. You never know who you are dealing with. It could be your potential significant other.
4. Humans do not lie. They act in accordance with their own principles, whether they leave a trail of blood in their wake, taking the heads of other humans as trophies or not. To believe them or not, becomes the primary question. Everyone deserves the benefit of the doubt but don't be gullible. It's a big game of chess.
5. Just because tables didn't turn in your favour doesn't mean that they don't turn.
6. Your human associations are as valuable as you make them to be. The love you give, is the love you receive back.
7. You will never outgrow instruction. Allow the people you trust to speak into your life. They may offer you advise, but ultimately, the choice is all up to you.
8. Responsibility for your own actions and your own life is the one thing you can never delegate. You can shun it, but not delegate it. You can put the blame on another, but there was something you had to do or didn't do.
9. Our issues as humans are deeper than our skin colours. Skin is just skin, but the real thing is in our minds. Our differences more often than not, and our reluctance to understand, and respect each other create the rifts between us.
10. "The devil made me do it" is true but to an extent. He knocks. He entices, but you can choose to open the door or not.
11. Unfair advantage is a real thing. It is a beginning but never an absolute end. Absolution is a thing. A new tidal turn is a thing.
12. Just because you never had the exposure or opportunity to test a certain quality in you, don't be too quick to judge another. It is best you shape up emotionally, spiritually and physically, because you never know when that resistance, that resilience, that high standing will be put to the test..... And tested, it will be.
13. If it doesn't count for eternity, it counts for nothing.
14. No pain no gain will never get out fashion. Comfort zone and growth zone are parallels. They can get as close to each other as possible, but they can never touch or cross each other.
15. You are as strong as your greatest weakness. Identify it, and leverage it to the best of your ability.
16. To respect another, you have to respect yourself first. The way you treat yourself is how you treat others (assuming normal circumstances).
