When you feel like Giving up, Remember why you held on in the first Place

Hi, it has been a while.... was i looking for fresh air? Maybe? I was thinking long and hard. i was wondering, what would i want someone to tell me or something i wish i knew.... ok, i know it, but life gets crazy sometimes and if it wasn't for the part were you are holding on because you remembered why you held on in the first place, i could have gone bonkers like donkey years ago. But there is something about God. Something about the nature of God. I just need to remind myself occasionally about the futility of life. How that nothing matters really because in the end, it is your God-given life, with a God-given assignment and and a God-given everything. I was listening to a sermon by Brent Stuart and i would like to share this with you. It blessed me. i hope you be too. In the end, what matters is honoring God with your daily life. Honoring God with your fave pastimes and thoughts and social life and basically the very essence of your life. My desire is to be transformed into the likeness of Christ. Not to know about God, but to know God. Not to go to a place of worship or fellowship because my friends are going but because i need him. Not to live like a hypocrite because people see me in church every Sunday but to live the life God wants for me. Not to be people pleaser, but to please God because after all, he i am answerable to him. I strongly believe that it is only after you have truly realized that you are inadequate, because you are messed up as a result of the things you have done in the past, and you could only do so much, that you realize that you actually need God  to help you run the race. The bible tells me in Heb 12:1-2 : 1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
But getting there, is not easy. It requires your honesty to self. We live in the world where we are so busy that you watch the minutes go by and say to yourself, what have i done with my day? You try to work back and trace your footsteps but you get to the point where you know you couldn't have done it any differently. If you could have, you know that you somehow grew frail. somehow, you got spent and everything spiraled out of control. Lo and behold, panic mode is activated. Everything that once was bright has become faint. But you don't despair because you know you have a father. But you are kinda locked in your room, playing your music so loudly that you can't hear your father knock. you know he can help you, but do you believe that he can, and all you need to do is to open the door? For every level of advancement, there are unique hurdles to jump, but junk is universal and follows the very same pattern (in general but with distinct signatures, that are peculiar to a situation, but junk none the less), and have 4 major physical manifestations. So the rubble rules you need to remember and the your reaction to them will eventually save your life.
Setbacks are those things that pull you back from doing what you ought to do and you handle them the wrong way. when you see trouble, don't delve into the bible, but you do what the bible says. remember that following Jesus is not a comfortable journey. if you are comfy, do check your inventory. they (setbacks) thrive on:
1. fatigue
2. frustration
3. failure
4. fear
When you see the manifestation of these, you know there is junk somewhere and you handle it. You praying about it and reading the word ain't gonna do nothing if you don't take that step of action and say,'' Lord, here i come. Your word says to strip off every weight that so easily besets me, so here i am relinquishing the tv remote. I wanna get close to you, so i am gonna get up and go fellowship with other believers. I am gonna stop hanging out there. i am gonna stop thinking this way, so when i am turning a corner where a trap is set for me, help me turn the  other way.''
 Rubble rules:
1. Rubble is part of life, with everything, there is junk associated.
2. clean it out periodically. what is the rubble in your life? get it out of the way, and go where God want you to go.
3. if you do not deal with it, it will overtake your life. what are you doing with what is in your life?
4. when you don't see the rubble in your life, others do see it.

Four cures:
1. rest your body when you are fatigued, God gives rest to his loved once. he gives power to the worn out and weary. strength to the weak. those who wait on the Lord, find new strength. wait on the Lord literary, shut off everything, shut out the noise. Get into that position where you are actually listening to God.
2. Reorganize your life when you are frustrated. joy is constant. happiness is circumstantial. shuffle your schedule if you have to. wake up earlier if you have to. you need to have a living relationship with God. how are you encouraging others? how are you being encouraged?
3. Refocus when failure comes. do not let what you do not know affect what you know. you can only do what you can do, and have done, but God can and wants to do more than you can ever do. Get to the point where you realize you need God more than anything.
4. Resist the discouragement. it breeds fear. re-establish your beliefs. you can only do what you belief. go on in there with the faith in God. Knowing is one thing but believing is another. You know you can do all, but do you believe that? When you feel like giving up, remember the cross. Jesus finished his mission. You have your mission to complete. What is it that you have to complete today? Go on right ahead and complete it. Do not let go. keep at it. God will help you if you let him. If you wait on him, he will meet you right at your point of need.

I will be back soon. Stay blessed.
