Job was a man of many sorrows. He lost everything except his
hope and faith in God. He may have questioned God’s motive but in his shoes,
what could you have done differently? He lost his children, wealth and all his
possessions. He was physically afflicted but never flinched in his faith. He
however grew closer to God. The bible tells me that Satan requested that he be
tried and God gave permission save for his soul be touched. Job hang on in
there like hanging on a thin thread and when it was about to break, God came
through.
Even today, I believe that our circumstances do not happen
by accident because our lives have been determined by God himself from the very
beginning. I believe that when we go through trials and temptations, we should
remember who we are in Christ Jesus who is the author and the finisher of our
faith. He was tempted in every way that we are but he never sinned. That is why
he is able to feel our pain and come through for us if we let him.
Cheers
